I just read something that blew my mind. As proud as I was of roasting four chickens for Thanksgiving, my accomplishment is monumentally dwarfed by what Jeremy of Frost Street did last week. He made a Turduckeneasquail.
Long-time readers may recall that last year I got to
sample a turducken, courtesy of some of Mickey Rooney's
Tabak's friends. Turduckens have been around for a while, and can be ordered
online. I was mighty impressed with the creature I tasted last year.
But this creation, however, featured not only the turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken; the man added three more birds! That's right -- the chicken was stuffed with a guinea hen, which was stuffed with a squab which was stuffed with a quail. He even tried to wrap the qual around a hard-boiled egg.
I am beyond impressed.
